Competence and results

Prof. Dr. Pávai Zoltán founded the Immunohistchemistry Laboratory of the Tg. Mureş University Hospital where for over 10 years he has performed diagnostical immunohistochemistry together with Dr. Horváth Emőke. He attended several trainings in the immunohistochemical laboratories of the Institute of Experimental Medicine of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences, Budapest, National Oncologic Institute, Budapest, Albert Szent-Györgyi Medical and Pharmaceutical Center, University of Szeged and the immunohistochemistry course organized by the Victor Babeş Institute in Bucharest. He is the first author of the book entitled "Imunohistochimie. Baze teoretice, aplicaţii practice".

In the last 5 years he established the Molecular Cell Biology Laboratory at the Department of Anatomy at the University of Medicine and Pharmacy Târgu Mureş, using the experience he gained at the Molecular Cell Biology Laboratory of the Semmelweis University, at the Molecular Cell Biology Laboratory of the Jagello University, Cracow with a UNESCO scholarship. He participated in FP6 and Marie Curie scholarships as a partner. He published articles about the PCR examination of human papilloma viruses and sustained communications about the mutation of the JAK kinase in myeloproliferative diseases.
